I'm a public librarian who messes around with code.
Usability is important to me. Working with the public all day—and seeing people struggle unnecessarily with poor design—leads to that.
Quick-loading, accessible, and semantic are adjectives I like.
When it doubt, I ask, “How would it look in Lynx (or your command-line browser of choice)?”
Unlike my personal page from way back in the day, the drop shadows are via CSS, not an old version of Photoshop.
